Officer Omega Graham was accidentally shot and killed during a training exercise at the police academy.

While acting out a landlord-tenant dispute scenario with several other recruits, Officer Graham was accidentally shot in the chest with a .38 caliber handgun that was supposed to be unloaded during the training exercise.

Officer Graham had been hired by the Fort Wayne Police Department and was still in the academy when the incident occurred. He was survived by his daughter, mother, three sisters and four brothers.
